As Trust Lead Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the professional development of teaching staff and ensuring high-quality teaching practices are implemented in the classroom. As a key position in our Trust leadership team, we are looking for exceptional candidates who can lead by example and inspire subject staff to achieve their best. 

This role will be split between 4 days working at Goodwin Academy and 1 day in Trust role. The successful candidate will be a qualified, motivated and enthusiastic teacher of Maths with a positive and open approach to learning.

You will join our team of creative and committed professionals, who are passionate about teaching and learning.  You will be a strong and effective classroom practitioner with high expectations for yourself and the children to ensure they achieve their very best. You will be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum and have a thorough knowledge of present curriculum development particularly those relating to Maths. 

Your New Role: 

  • Lead on the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies in our schools in your subject 
  • Provide expert coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve their practice and ensure high-quality teaching standards are maintained 
  • Work closely with Trust Leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures related to teaching and learning 
  • Lead on the development and delivery of staff training programmes to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes 
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning initiatives in schools 

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Qualified teacher status with a minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience 
  • Willingness to support cross phase from KS1 to KS5 
  • Proven track record of outstanding teaching practice and student outcomes 
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teachers to improve their practice 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents and students 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and lead a team effectively 
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to ongoing professional development
