Leigh Academy Rainham is a new co-educational comprehensive secondary school that opened its doors for the first time to year 7 in 2021 and already highly oversubscribed, our new school is firmly set to be a beacon of excellence for secondary education in Medway.​​​​​​​ We now have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Teacher of Religious Education, starting in September 2023.

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Religious Education who can deliver high quality learning opportunities for our students across this curriculum area.  You will be joining a very passionate and effective team of 4 teachers who work collaboratively to implement a digital IB Humanities curriculum, including RE, with carefully planned interdisciplinary links. Currently all members of the Humanities team teach History, Geography and RE at KS3 but as we grow we aim to ensure a greater proportion of teaching in teachers’ subject specialisms. The Humanities team is part of Kingsley College (Ebacc and PE) and works closely with all other departments, particularly English and Art to ensure they deliver a highly ambitious, global curriculum with cross-curricular links.
