We are seeking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to support and work with our committed and developing Science Department.  We are in an exciting phase of development at Folkestone Academy and have just partnered with Turner Free School to become the Turner School science department.  

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our team of technicians across the secondary schools to support our pupils in receiving an exciting and informative practical-based curriculum. 

The ideal candidates will...

  • have a willingness to engage with pupils and experience of working in an educational setting, preferably either as a Science technician already, or with some experience of leading others.
  • have experience of working as a team, supporting and motivating other members of the team
  • have the ability to respond to a flexible working environment with tight deadlines 
  • be dedicated to improving pupil progress and raising attainment

  • be reflective and keen to learn, taking on and responding to regular feedback 
  • be excited to work with our young people and to help them achieve their best
