Are you an enthusiastic & experienced SEN Learner Support Practitioner? Can you support our learners with SEN including wellbeing and mental health difficulties that assists in raising standards in the aspirations of all learners?

Kite College is an Independent Specialist Post-16 College in Sittingbourne, providing education and technical vocational training to young people with learning difficulties.

This fantastic opportunity will allow you to be a part of Kent’s only specialised FE college for young people with SEND and join the pastoral team to provide tailored support to our learners to develop their independence to ensure a safe and sustainable entry into employment and adulthood.

To be successful in the role we are looking for someone who can:

  • Support young people aged 16-25 with learning difficulties, including AHD and SEMH, with their vocational programmes to achieve their full potential
  • Provide mental health and wellbeing support on a 1:1 basis, or as a group as required
  • Support lecturing staff in training on a range of topics and tasks relevant to the curriculum
  • Provide pastoral support and care
  • Ensure the college is a place where all our learners thrive, feel safe, have all their support needs met and are given every opportunity to achieve their aspirations
