We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to join our fabulous team at Earlscliffe.  As School Nurse, we will expect you to provide a first class standard of medical, health and pastoral service for our students and develop the well-being initiative throughout the school.  There will also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to be the Mental Health Lead at Earlscliffe.

The role involves daily liaison with our residential and other pastoral staff, assessing the needs of our students and using a problem-solving approach to reach clinical, therapeutic and prescribing decisions.  Although working within this supportive pastoral team, you also need to be comfortable in taking the initiative where appropriate or necessary.  The hours are 42.5 per week, term time only plus three weeks (35 weeks per year), however, there is an opportunity for additional work if required. Holiday entitlement in respect of 28 days (pro rata) is included within the salary.  No holiday may be taken during term time.

As an organisation we aim to care for all of our student's needs, physical, social and emotional, and our NMC registered nurse should have up to date qualifications and registration, together with good leadership skills.  You will also need to have excellent ICT skills. You should be enthusiastic and flexible - no two days are the same here at Earlscliffe.

We have a strong team of staff who are caring, supportive and who all work with a determination to be exceptional in all that they do.  This is supported by excellent CPD opportunities, a supportive leadership team and excellent employee benefits.

Experience of working in a similar environment would be beneficial but it is not essential.
