We are looking to appoint a nurturing and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our team of talented staff.  This is an exciting opportunity to work with pupils in our EYFS class and experience in this area is desirable (ideally with an EYFS Level 3 Qualification).
We require a TA with flexibility, experience in learning support and the ability to contribute to our school's community and vision.  The successful applicant will be sensitive to children's varying needs and be able to work under the guidance of the class teacher and leadership team.  Knowledge and understanding of phonics and communication & language needs would also be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be required to work 30 hours a week and term time only.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • support children's learning in and out of the classroom, both individually and in groups
  • have the natural ability to make good relationships with children, colleagues and parents
  • lead interventions for individuals and groups with confidence and initiative.
  • cover for the class teacher on occasions
  • be able to work independently, particularly in the teaching of phonics to small groups of children
  • be efficient, flexible and reliable
  • be able to work as a positive team player with energy and enthusiasm.
 

Information about the school

We are a small village school situated on the outskirts of Dover. At present we have 104 pupils on roll and the profile of the school across the local community is strong and growing due to our strengthening reputation. We have recently received an OUTSTANDING Ofsted judgement (December 2022) and are now building on these successes. We have fantastic outside grounds which are used for sports and outdoor learning activities. We have wrap around care from 7.45am until 5.45pm using our Breakfast Club and After School Club facilities.
