Turner Schools has an exciting opportunity for a Trust Deputy Facilities and Cleaning Manager. We are seeking a candidate with high standards to lead and direct the work of the facilities officers, manage the cleaning of all Turner Schools premises, buildings and grounds. You must have an eye for detail and the ability to lead and motivate teams to ensure our schools are places where children thrive and knowledge matters.

The successful candidate will:-

  • Have experience of cleaning functions
  • Have experience of staff management
  • Have experience of using spreadsheets
  • Ensure that procedures are followed
  • Manage cleaning contracts ensuring best value and good service is maintained
  • Work closely with the Facilities Team to report maintenance issues around the sites
  • Deliver a robust training programme to the team
  • Develop and maintain a culture of Health & Safety embedded throughout the team
  • Plan and implement deep cleaning during school holidays
  • Keep cleaning supplies properly stocked and accounted for
  • Deal with staff absences, deploying existing staff and arranging cover where necessary
  • Support the Trust's mission, vision and values
  • Enjoy completing work in a professional and positive manner, relish solving problems
  • Have a determination to improve standards and outcomes in non-selective education on the south-east Kent coast
  • Be highly motivated and have a flexible approach towards work and working hours
