The Abbey School is looking to appoint a full-time Cover Manager. You will be required to work for 37 hours per week for 38 weeks per year. The hours of work will be 7.30 am to 15.30 pm with a half an hour unpaid lunch break.

The ideal candidate will need to be well-organised and have a flexible approach to tasks. You will need to be resilient under pressure, and some experience of working in a busy office environment would be an advantage. We are seeking a team player, who is able to organise their workload, and who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will be responsible for organising and providing cover for planned and unplanned absence of teachers. You will also manage the workload of the Cover Supervisor team, and where needed you will be required to take on the role as a cover supervisor.

Applicants should have at least GCE or level 3 BTEC qualifications and a minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics at C Grade (or equivalent). Experience of working with young people of the relevant age would be an advantage.
