Frittenden C of E Primary School is seeking an amazing, enthusiastic, motivated, flexible and friendly teaching assistant to join our professional, dedicated and friendly team within our village school setting. Whilst experience is preferential, it not a prerequisite: you just have to have a can-do attitude.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is kind and compassionate
  • Is enthusiastic and positive
  • Is organised
  • Someone will identify and celebrate children’s strengths, building on these skills
  • Will support and scaffold children's learning
  • Has good interpersonal skills
  • Is confident to work independently using their own initiative, as well as part of a team.
  • Confident to work in class and on a 1:1 basis under the supervision of the Class Teacher
  • Committed to continued professional development

If you are the kind of person who enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a child begin to progress thanks to your patience and guidance, please contact Mrs. Kneller (01580 852250) to arrange a visit. Come and have a look at our lovely little school.

This is initially a temporary contract (27.5 hours) until the end of the academic year, with the potential of extending to permanent.

Information about the school

Frittenden Church of England Primary School is a popular small school in the heart of the village. Whilst we benefit from an idyllic location in the heart of the countryside, we are easily accessible from Maidstone, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding villages. We currently have 101 children on roll divided into 4 classes, with an intake of 15 into the Reception class and mixed classes thereafter.

As a church school we enjoy a close relationship with St Mary's Church. We promote our Christian values of Compassion, Joy and Respect throughout our school.

Frittenden CEP School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all appointments are subject to the necessary pre-recruitment checks.
