Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator ICT and Computing                           

Are you an inventive and forward-thinking teacher excited about the opportunity to share your passion for ICT and Computing?  We are looking for a skilled and inspirational teacher looking for the next step in their career development.

 Use your up-to-date knowledge of developments in ICT and Computing as well as being an excellent classroom practitioner to teach across the key stages to build and develop a creative approach within the school.  You will be a team player with the right attributes and focus for the day to day pressures that teaching brings. 

You will take a lead role within the ICT and Computing department, working alongside colleagues to deliver the curriculum. The role will include development of the KS4 scheme of work in line with new examination criteria, mock examination preparation, exam entries and revision sessions, updating the student data spreadsheets alongside undertaking observations of KS4 lessons. Leading by example, you will provide motivation and inspiration to both staff and students. 

Working closely with the Principal Teacher ICT and Computing you will attend departmental, staff and training sessions and ensure all aspects of the departmental development plan are delivered.   The successful candidate will be a facilitator of people at all levels and will develop strategies and initiatives that have longevity, relevance and meaning throughout the whole school.

Information about the school

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2000 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools and nurseries serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside. Home Farm Nursery is based in the grounds of Homewood School.
