Sandown School is looking to appoint a new caretaker. We would like someone who is active, versatile, well organised, enthusiastic, reliable and has excellent communication skills. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure. The post holder will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and/or cleaning to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, parents and staff.

Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential.

This position will be for 28hrs 45mins per week at KR5 (full time equivalent £20,595, actual salary £16,008).  Hours of work will be a split shift of 7.15am-10.00am and 3.00pm-6.00pm Monday to Friday with 28 days paid holiday to be taken outside of normal school term dates.

Sandown School is situated in North Deal and is a two form entry school with a growing pupil roll and reputation.
