Advert

We are a small, newly registered, independent, specialist school, offering education to students with special educational needs, including: social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties from age eleven through to sixteen years of age.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who feel excited at the prospect of joining a brand new school as part of the founding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to help grow the school and shape your subject.

At maximum capacity, the school will have just ten children on roll. You will be working with small groups of between two and four learners per class. Our smaller, more personal setting provides an environment where our learners can thrive and succeed in a warm, safe space.

The school's objective is to cultivate 'resilience in learning and life'. This is the primary goal of our teaching, learning and curriculum. We offer a holistic pedagogy, which empowers our learners in their academic, cultural, emotional and social developement across the whole curriculum. Although all learners follow the National Curriculum, within this framework, as a subject specialist you will have autonomy and freedom to create and deliver a scheme of work that is both relevant to your learners and compliments your teaching style whilst remaining 'in line' with the school's values and ethos.

We are currently looking to add an enthusiastic and self motivated Science Teacher to our team. You will need to be able to plan and teach lessons across KS3 and 4, up to GCSE Level.

For the above role, a teaching qualification is desirable. However, for the right candidate, relevant teaching experience in a similar role and SEN environment would be considered more important.

The role will be demanding and challenging, but very rewarding.

You will need excellent communication skills, self-motivation, flexibility, effective time management, and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team. An understanding of the ethos of the school and the ability to work within this ethos in order to support and develop all learners regardless of ability, education, behaviour, social or emotional needs.

The successful candidate will have a direct impact on pupil's lives, raising aspirations and improving opportunitities for our young people.

Please refer to the job description for further information.

The T3 School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, including overseas criminal background, where applicable.

Information about the school

The T3 School is a small, independent, specialist school, offering education to students with special educational needs, including: social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties from age 11 through to 16 years of age - school years 7 to 11.

We are based in the heart of Ashford and our building overlooks the beautiful Memorial Gardens. Our location provides an ideal base to take advantage of local amenities and attractions.

All our learners have an EHCP and the majority have experienced disruption in their schooling and have, for a variety of reasons, found it difficult to reach their full potential in other learning environments. Schooling has often been fragmented, resulting in them falling behind their peers, academically. Our smaller, more personal setting provides an environment where students can thrive and often relish the chance to succeed in a safe space.
