Here at Sandwich Infant School, we are looking to appoint a Site Manager with additional responsibility for the cleaning duties following the retirement of our current postholder. The successful candidate would need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual that is keen to fulfil their job receptibilities to the best of their abilities. Having experience of general caretaking, with practical experience in cleaning, maintenance, decorating and/ or minor building work to help manage and maintain our school will be helpful. You will need to be proactive and take pride in ensuring the school is well maintained and a clean, tidy, safe environment for our staff, pupils and visitors. You will need to be able to work both on your own initiative as well as the guidance of others. 

We are looking for someone who is:

• Able to work independently and show initiative and manage their workload effectively 
• Willing to go the extra mile and be an integral part of our school community

The hours are for a split shift Monday to Friday 7:30 – 11:00 and -2:30-6:30; with an adjustment to the hours during the school holiday period as a year-round post. 

The job will start at the end of July 2023 to ensure a smooth handover and transition and will include the Summer clean throughout the school.

Sandwich Infant School is a two-form entry school housed in a Victorian building. We enjoy close links with the community, the church, local nurseries and Sandwich Junior School. We are part of Aquila, The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk) and are a member of the STAR (Sandwich Town and Rural) Alliance.
