We are seeking to employ an experienced and well-qualified Receptionist to provide a first-class front of house service in our busy school.  Are you friendly, articulate, welcoming and well organised?  Can you interact with a wide range of children and adults, building and sustaining positive relationships?  If so, please join us at Team Tunbury! 

Kent Range 5, actual pro rata pay £17,792.52 - £18,741.11 (FTE £20,595-£21,693)

This is a temporary appointment to cover maternity leave, starting on 2nd May 2023.

Working hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 INSET Days), 8 am to 4 pm on Monday-Thursday and 8 am to 3.30 pm on Friday, 30 minutes lunch break. 

Our new Receptionist will need:

  • To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with a variety of people in person and on the phone, so the need to exercise confidentiality and discretion is essential.
  • To work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate - ability to produce a range of documents and reports, including non-standard reports, using Windows WP package, Excel spreadsheet and database functions, including experience of SIMs (SIMs training can be given for an exceptional candidate).
  • The ability to cope under pressure and to prioritise in order to meet deadlines.
  • A friendly disposition and sense of humour.
