We are looking to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team at Charing CE Primary School.

The position involves working in partnership with the teaching team with an aim to achieve the best outcomes for our children.  You need to understand how to motivate and encourage pupils to make progress and have the ability to differentiate and adapt learning programmes to suit varying needs.  

The successful applicant will have a good standard of spoken English and will have achieved English and Maths GCSE qualifications to at least a 'C' grade. An NVQ Level 3 in Learning Support or Level 3 Teaching Assistant is desirable. The successful person will support our Christian values and ethos. 

This is a permanent part-time position working term time only.  12 hours per week, working 2 days (Thursdays and Fridays) including lunch-time supervision.

Charing CE Primary School is a happy, secure, Christian environment situated in the beautiful village of Charing on the A20 between Maidstone and Ashford. The school has approximately 110 pupils ranging in ages from 4-11 years. The school has strong links with the church and the community of Charing, with excellent pastoral care, and is committed to raising standards ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential. It was graded a good SIAMS in November 2017 and a Good Ofsted in October 2021. We are a member of Aquila, The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk).
