PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR WHOLE CLASS PROVISION

Monday – Friday, 8.30 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

30 hours per week, Term Time Only

As a Primary TA you will:

  • Be class based during the morning and in the afternoons you will be expected to do a variety of provisions – phonics, speech and language, reading, comprehension, precision, clever hands etc.
  • Be expected to maintain accurate records.
  • Be on duty at break time and lunch time throughout the day.
  • Have opportunities to support clubs and extended day activities if desired.
  • Work 1:1 with pupils

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Understanding of children with SEND issues.
  • Experience of moving children forward.
  • Experience supporting in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
  • An understanding of assessment at relevant levels e.g. SATS
  • Experience in the use of Too simple or similar app based assessment
  • The ability to be flexible to the needs of the school
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • First Aid qualification (not essential but desirable).
