HLTA

 

Start date: March 2023

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, term time only

Contract: Fixed Term until July 2023

 

Cedar Children’s Academy are seeking a HLTA to join their established support team.  The successful candidate will be expected to work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.  They will also provide support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement

 

What you will need to succeed: 

  • A HLTA qualification would be desirable.
  • Ability to support teachers in increasing achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team whilst also being able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Approachable with effective communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people including pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
