There is a strong sense of togetherness at our school amongst all pupils, staff, parents and governors alike.  We are very proud of our caring ethos and sense of community.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support the progress of our pupils on a fixed term contract, initially for a year, of 32.5 hours per week.  You would work across the primary phase, including Early Years.  The role involves daily interaction with pupils and the class teacher, following lesson plans and preparing the learning environment.  You would be expected to use your own initiative to support the teaching staff, and be able to work with small groups effectively.  Preferably, you will have some experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in another school setting, including with children who have Special Educational Needs.  Governors wish to appoint a suitably qualified candidate and therefore require either a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a Level 2 and working towards a Level 3.

Your day would start at 8.30am and finish at 3.30pm, with a half hour lunch break, however we do understand the need to be flexible at times, so raise this within your application.

We can offer:

Pupils who are well-behaved and love coming to school to learn and have fun

A hardworking, dedicated and supportive staff team

Good opportunities for Professional Development

The chance to be part of a strong school community, making a difference to young people's futures.

Crockenhill Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and other employment checks.
