We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and supportive team. This role involves working 1:1 and in small groups with Key Stage 1 children. The role will be linked to higher needs funding.

The successful candidate will be required to work 12.5 hours a week, term time only; ideally the hours would be spread across all weekdays.

Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition
  • a passion to see every child fulfilling their potential
  • experience in delivering interventions and working closely with the Specialist Teaching Service
  • effective time management and an ability to work on their own initiative
  • good organisational skills, strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to and work as part of a team
  • a positive attitude and the ability to look on the bright side of things

 

It is desirable but not essential to have:

  • an understanding of TOF
  • a sound knowledge of early childhood development.
