St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School is part of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP), a multi-academy trust (MAT) established by the Archdiocese of Southwark for Catholic education across Kent. Currently a MAT comprising 25 schools (20 primary and 5 secondary), KCSP is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Headteacher from September 2023 due to the retirement of the previous post-holder.


St Teresa’s is a one-form entry primary school located in Ashford, and serving the Parish of St Teresa of Avila, Ashford and the local area.


We are seeking to appoint a practising Catholic to this role, the successful applicant will take the lead role in providing inspirational Catholic education based on our shared Gospel values, and will be seen by pupils, parents and carers, and the wider parish as the school’s pastoral leader, directing their learning.
St Teresa’s is an inclusive school. Its dedicated staff, volunteers and governance committee members work hard to ensure that every child is supported and challenged to be their very best. Each individual is encouraged to grow spiritually and intellectually, so that unique and positive contributions can be made to society and the world. The school’s most recent denominational inspection in March 2020 judged it as ‘Good’ and its most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2020 judged the school to be ‘Good’ in all areas. St Teresa’s is seeking a new Headteacher who will continue to build upon and further develop the exciting work and strong foundations that the school has in place.


Reporting to the CEO, the Headteacher will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and safeguarding of the school and will lead a team that strives together for children following the school’s ethos of ‘Christ be our Light’.
