This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and passionate teacher of Health & Social Care and Travel & Tourism within the 6th Form Studies Faculty to join a forward-thinking and well-established team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning, the ability to challenge and excite students’ minds, and have highly effective communication skills. In 2017/18 our health + social care results were one of highest performing subjects at KS4 and KS5 and the department has an admirable reputation for its consistent drive to raise attainment.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach at both KS4 and KS5 and be able to teach across the curriculum range. A specialism in Health & Social Care or Travel & Tourism would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be joining a highly supportive and collaborative department.  We welcome applications from ECTs or from more experienced teachers who are looking to further develop their career.

Herne Bay High School is a large hugely successful Single Academy Trust that serves the Herne Bay coastal area of North Kent. We have a comprehensive intake and are significantly oversubscribed in all year groups and in June 2022 Ofsted rated the school good with an Outstanding 6th form provision.
