This is an exciting time for Science at Turner Schools as September 2023 sees the opening of our Trust-wide sixth form offering a wide range of level 3 STEM qualifications.  As a result, we are looking to recruit an exceptional KS5 Lead for Science for September 2023 or earlier depending on availability . This new role will support the growth of the Science Departments at both Folkestone Academy & Turner Free School.

As such, we particularly welcome applications from candidates with a record of improving outcomes for pupils in Science, especially disadvantaged pupils.

Following recent Ofsted inspections in both schools, Ofsted commented that at Folkestone Academy: “Teachers use their strong subject knowledge to make learning interesting and engaging. They are extremely positive about the high-quality training provided by leaders and the trust.”

The Turner Schools community strongly believes that its purpose is to serve the young people of the local coastal community with a powerful education. Come and join us to be a part of our journey to transform children’s futures, empower families and strengthen our community.
