Information about the school

Kemsing Primary School is a charming village school nestled at the foot of the stunning North Downs, just a 10-minute drive from the bustling commuter town of Sevenoaks. Established in 1885, our school boasts a rich history, although our facilities have been modernised to meet the needs of today’s learners.

As a one-form entry school with a current roll of 175 pupils, we are proud to serve as a central part of our vibrant local community. We maintain strong ties with the local parish church, where we celebrate key events such as Easter, Harvest, and Christmas with services for our children and their families.

Our active PTA plays a vital role in fostering community spirit and enhancing school life, organising a wide range of events from the popular village summer fête to quiz nights and comedy evenings. Their efforts have supported significant projects, such as the redevelopment of our much-loved swimming pool facilities and other school improvements.

The school is further supported by a dedicated governing body with a diverse range of expertise. Recent initiatives include the redesign of our eco-friendly wildlife pond and garden, as well as the creation of a fabulous school library to inspire and support our children’s learning.

We believe in fostering a strong partnership between school and parents, working closely to ensure the best outcomes for every child. At Kemsing Primary, every child is valued as an individual. We set high expectations and are committed to helping all our children excel and reach their full potential.

Our welcoming and happy atmosphere, combined with a commitment to excellence and enjoyment, is underpinned by the hard work and dedication of our talented staff team, who create a nurturing yet challenging environment for our young learners.
