Head of Drama

Salary: £28,817 - £44,302 plus TLR2B £5,070

Start date: September 2023

 

Holcombe Grammar School are seeking a Head of Drama to lead their successful department. Drama is currently taught across years 7 to 9 and in September 2023 we hope to launch a GCSE drama course in Year 10. The successful candidate will need to continue to develop drama in KS3 whilst also introducing the new GCSE course and providing extra-curricular drama opportunities for our students, including the annual school production. Candidates will be motivated and enthusiastic teachers of drama who have a positive and open approach to learning.  Applications are invited from experienced Heads of Drama, or experienced teachers looking to progress their career.

 

The successful candidate will be a qualified Drama teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning, is ready to embrace new ideas and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills.  They will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations for achievement and behaviour, who is able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum and have a thorough knowledge of curriculum development.  They will be an aspiring leader of learning who is constantly willing to grasp exciting CPD opportunities and is willing to contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools.
