Can you juggle 10 balls at a time, have an impeccable eye for detail, be a strong communicator and still maintain a calm and cheerful persona whilst doing so?  If this resonates with you, then please read on.  We are looking for a new School Administrator to join our school administration team due to the retirement of our School Secretary.  We are an ‘Outstanding’ school as judged by Ofsted in 2017 and 2022 and are therefore looking for somebody who works in an outstanding way to support the administration processes that ensure the smooth running of the school.  This role, like many in schools, is multi-faceted and often no two days will be the same.  In applying for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills, qualities and abilities.

  • Previous experience of working in a school office.
  • Excellent literacy and mathematical skills, particularly strong in grammatical skills.
  • EDCL qualification or equivalent speed typing qualification
  • Experience of Microsoft applications, particularly O365
  • Experience of SIMS, FMS, School Gateway and other school systems
  • Be an excellent communicator; verbally and written
  • A very keen eye for detail with excellent presentation skills
  • High standards of work ethic and self-motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to form positive relationships with children and adults
  • High standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards and team work
  • Resilient, flexible and adaptable; confident and calm

Information about the school

We are a Church of England Aided Junior school, situated in the heart of Whitstable. From September 2021 our school embarked on an expansion to admit 60 children into year 3, growing to a two form entry school from September 2022 with a total of eight classes. Locally we are known as 'The Endowed' and we describe ourselves as an old school with a young heart.
