Are you a committed, inspiring and passionate person looking to use your experience supporting children as part of a friendly and dedicated team? Do you have skills to support children with a range of SEN? We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support some of our children who receive high needs funding. You will work as part of the class team in meeting certain children's needs on a contract of 33 hours a week. Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (until 4.00pm on a Wednesday for staff training).

As a Teaching Assistant at Bethersden Primary School, you will support the delivery of well-structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum plan, adapting your teaching style to respond to strengths and to meet the needs of our individual pupils.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate, motivated person who has (ideally, but not necessarily) had experience working with children in EYFS/ KS1. We want someone who is flexible and fun and looking to be part of an awesome team!

Information about the school

We are a small, friendly, village primary school with 120 children taught in 6 classes. Our rural location just off the A28 between Ashford and Tenterden means we serve families from the village and the wider area. We have received a Good grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2023).

Our large site has extensive grounds, which includes a gardening area and large playing field.

We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring our children excel through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support.
