NCPS is recruiting for an experienced nursery teacher and we are looking for the best. AT NCPS we educate and care for over 700 wonderful children from a range of backgrounds. We want the best for every single one of them, however when recruiting, we are particularly thinking about our most vulnerable children- the children for whom an amazing teacher can make the difference in their life chances.

Our EYFS is where all of the foundations for learning at NCPS begin. We offer our nursery provision to children starting from the term after their third birthday, with a maximum of 30 children during our morning sessions, and a maximum of 30 children during our afternoon sessions, based on 15 hours of government funded childcare. We are looking for a qualified teacher who will lead the nursery provision, including 3 nursery TAs, and work closely with our EYFS lead.

As a large community primary school, we pride ourselves in our relationships between staff, pupils and parents; fostering a warm and friendly environment for all. We have an incredible welfare team, who ensure that all welfare, behavioural needs and SEND are well supported. Our curriculum is exciting, ambitious and engaging- tailored to the needs of our children, and stemming from our curriculum drivers: health, diversity, citizenship and aspirations. All staff who work at Newington, work together- ensuring consistency for children, to ensure that every child excels.

We strive for the very best for our children, and therefore we look to get the very best from our teachers. This means regular CPD opportunities, a curriculum which continues to evolve and improve, and an understanding that all of our teachers work collaboratively to produce the highest quality lessons for our children. We balance high expectations and excellence in teaching, with a package of support, to ensure that our teachers enjoy a good work life balance.

This post is a fixed contract until the 31st August 2024, in the first instance.

We may interview applicants at an earlier date then stated, therefore encourage candidates to apply early.

We strongly encourage candidates to come and visit our school before applying. For any interested candidates, please ring our school office, or email headteacher@newington-ramsgate.kent.sch.uk

We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
