Newlands Primary School has an opportunity to appoint Teaching Assistants to support SEN pupils and help them to realise their potential. We are seeking to employ enthusiastic, flexible team players to join our dedicated staff team.

The role will involve implementing programmes of support designed especially to meet pupils’ individual needs which can range from behaviour and communication to social and emotional needs and involve a child’s development and learning. You would be an integral part of the Special Educational Needs Team and we work closely with outside organisations to create personal plans for each pupil. 

The successful candidates will have a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience, a flexible approach to their work and an ability to embrace challenges. Whilst experience with SEN is highly desirable, we require passionate, enthusiastic and inspirational individuals. Full training and support is given to all of our staff.

We are offering positions on a term time only basis. Requests for part-time or reduced hours will be considered. 

Salary for the role is a spot point salary, paying above the Kent Range of £20,271 pro rata to the working hours

The post is currently fixed term to the 31st August 2022 as it is dependent on High Needs Funding.
