Due to retirement, we are looking for a full time HR Assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. 

Kent Range 5 - £20,595 (pro-rata £18,298) 37 hours per week, term time only plus 2 weeks during school holidays.

The HR Assistant duties involve a wide range of activities supporting our HR Manager and Senior  Leadership Team, from maintaining our employee database to helping process contractual changes. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. 

HR Assistant skills we’re looking for include excellent organisation ability, familiarity with SIM and HR software and strong communication skills. To be an ideal candidate for the Human Resources Assistant position, you would have some experience of HR within schools . You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. Following training , you will be able to assist our HR Manager and SLT in the whole recruitment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR function and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative HR support
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, leavers, overtime etc.)
  • Communicate with the School's HR and Payroll provider when necessary
  • Assist with recruitment checks
