We are looking for a highly experienced, dynamic, dedicated and inclusive teacher to work in one of our Key Stage 1 classes.

This post will be on a short-term supply basis initially, but we are looking for someone who can commit to a longer term period if/when required.

The successful candidate must have recent Early Years/Year 1 experience with a sound knowledge of both curriculums. You will be given weekly PPA time with a year group partner and be keen to be part of our Bromstone family, including attending staff training sessions and other whole school events.

We are proud to be a Nurture UK school and expect all our staff to uphold these principles at all times. Our vision - Dream, Believe, Achieve - resonates through all aspects of our school life.

We welcome and encourage informal visits to the school; please contact the school office to make an appointment.

Information about the school

Bromstone is a Co-operative Foundation Primary School which believes strongly in the Co-operative ethos. As part of Thanet Endeavour Learning Trust we work in very close partnership with St Mildred’s Infant School with whom we are federated, and with Garlinge and Parkside Primary Schools. We share our Executive Headteacher with Garlinge, St Mildred’s and Parkside Schools.

Bromstone has a well-developed creative curriculum, which provides our children with exciting opportunities for learning, both in the classroom and in the wider environment. We place high value on the Arts and outdoor learning; we have an established Forest School in our grounds. Our staff are friendly, enthusiastic and very committed to providing the best education we can for our pupils. We are passionate about Bromstone and its ethos; Dream, Believe, Achieve.

All posts at Bromstone Primary School are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Bromstone is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) with barred list check is required for all successful applicants. We will carry out an online search for all shortlisted candidates.

Please note that we will only accept applications made electronically through this site. Applicants will always require the relevant child safeguarding checks to be successful.
