We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant ( one to one) to work as part of a team that are continually working together under the school motto of 'Love Jesus, Love Learning, Love Each Other.  

This is a temporary position linked to funding in place for a pupil currently in Key Stage 2 until the end of term 2  in December 2023.  This role is related to funding received for this pupil and is therefore a temporary role until the funding finishes in December 2023 or earlier if the child leaves the school.

Hours are 5 days per week, 28.75 hrs per week starting at 8.45am and finishing at 3.15pm.  The role starts as soon as possible following completion of required Safer Recruitment checks including an Enhanced DBS clearance.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate a proactive willingness to learn and who is passionate about helping children to achieve their potential outcome; a strong team player with good time management skills who is willing to take direction from the class teacher and is capable of helping to develop resilient, confident pupils with a growth mindset.   

The successful candidate will be supporting a pupil who has Diabetes and requires close support due to this medical condition and supporting with catch-up due to missed learning.  However, as a teaching assistant they will also be supporting the class teacher with other pupils learning on a daily basis so this offers a varied, exciting working day.

While applicants with experience are prefered, an applicant is not required to have Teaching Assistant experience but does need to demonstrate experience of working in a child-orientated learning environment and a willingness to undertake specific training within the role. They will also be expected to demonstrate a supportive resilient nature that allows them to closley monitor a pupils' wellbeing and diabetic medical need; full training regarding this medical condition will be given.

Pay rate will be Kent Range 3 (£19,293 per annum)and will be an actual gross annual salary of £ 12,286 per annum based on 38 working weeks (42 weeks including holiday entitlement) but paid over 52 weeks.

Applicants will be required to complete an English and Maths exercise as part of the interview assessment process.
