We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team, providing support to groups and individual pupils in the classroom.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

  • Is organised, adaptable and willing to learn/develop
  • Embraces innovation positively and with enthusiasm
  • Works well in a team but can also use their initiative 
  • Has strong levels of spoken and written English and Mathematics
  • Is able to follow and adapt lesson plans.
  • Can support children to access the curriculum.
  • Can prepare resources and teaching materials
  • Can liaise with the class teacher and other staff
  • Has consistently high expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement.
  • Wants to make a difference to the lives of our children. 
  • Has knowledge and experience of working in Key Stage 2.

The role is part-time, 9am-12pm, Monday to Friday. The post is temporary, initially until August 2023 but could be longer should additional funding be agreed. We would like to successful candidate to start working with us as soon as practically possible (dependant on safeguarding/welfare checks). 

Candidates will be judged on both their capability for the post and their suitability for working with children. Good English and Maths skills are essential and candidates must have GCSE maths and English at grade C or above.
