We are looking for someone who will inspire our children, work with energy, enthusiasm and creativity in one of our Key Stage 1 classes.  As an individual, you possess strong communication skills, have high expectations and good classroom practice whilst having a belief and determination that you can make a difference and be committed to improving life chances for all our children.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual who wishes to develop their career in our increasingly successful school.  St. Richard’s is at the heart of a supportive Catholic community as part of Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP).  In our recent Ofsted inspection it states: Pupils are happy at school and enjoy learning. They describe St Richard’s as a ‘kind, respectful, exciting, fun and beautiful place to be, where we are loved.’ Pupils thrive in a caring environment. Everyone is included, and encouraged to do their best. Expectations for all pupils are high. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers, full time or part time, who are looking to develop and thrive in our school community along with ECT’s. In addition, teachers that are Catholic and non-Catholic but who are supportive of our religious ethos.  The role is initially until the 31^st August 2023 with potential extension thereafter.

Information about the school

St Richard's Catholic Primary School is an Academy as part of Kent Catholic Schools Partnership. Our one form entry school is situated near to the town centre of Dover and is over-looked by Dover Castle. It has spacious grounds which include a field, playground, fire pit area, outdoor classroom and adventure playground.

Parents send their children to St Richard's because they want their children to be part of a faith community. Many, but not all are Catholic, and all children and their families are very welcome. It is very much a family academy and provides a caring atmosphere where all children are loved.

The academy is proud of all members of the community, especially the children. They are happy, loving and lively; always ready to welcome and full of fun. Staff are committed, ensuring that the children receive the best care and education. Governors work hard to support the school community, sharing their skills and monitoring all aspects of school life.
