We are looking to appoint a caring and creative Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a happy and supportive school with professional development opportunities both within our school and in the wider Academy Trust.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A caring Teaching Assistant who has the needs of our children and families firmly at the heart of what they do
  • A positive role model to staff and pupils
  • A good team player with strong communication and interaction skills
  • A positive person who looks for new adventures for children and staff to explore
  • Experience of working within KS2 and of working with children with additional needs are desirable

This is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2023.

Hours: 8.45am – 11.45am and 12.15pm-3.15pm Monday – Friday.

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)

Kennington CE Academy is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all trustees, staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, online recruitment checks and overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
