Required from January 2023-July 2024

 

To provide key support for the learning and welfare of a pupil with specific SEND needs including PDA, OCD, and SEMH difficulties. 

This support will be given 1:1, to continue to facilitate the pupil’s safe reintegration to the school setting, so that they can access, as fully as possible, the activities generally undertaken by other pupils in the class, and fulfil their educational potential and work towards their independence.

Duties will include working with the pupil in their home setting in the first instance, and in school as we move forward, helping the pupil to build confidence, fill any gaps in learning and, ultimately, facilitating their return to lessons. 

To run specific programmes and activities to assist pupils’ individual learning and social needs. 

To implement the targets on pupils’ Individual Education Plans (IEP) in liaison with the subject class teachers, Pastoral/ SEND support and the SENDCO. 

To provide the necessary administrative support to teachers outside the class in order that pupils’ learning needs are appropriately met. 

Appropriate training will be provided.
