Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School is looking to employ an enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery team to cover maternity leave.

Start Date: January 2023

Salary: Kent Range 3. £19,293 per annum pro rata.  27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. 

You will be required to work Monday to Friday, term time only 9:00am – 3:00pm

The successful candidate must have a minimum of:

Mathematics and English to GCSE Grade C or equivalent (certificates will need to be shown at interview upon appointment). 

 Reporting to: EYFS leader


Liaising with: Headteacher of School, Trust Leadership Team, School Leadership Team, Deputy Headteacher, teaching and support staff, external agencies, pupils and parents.

Responsibilities:

• To be an advocate for children.
• To plan and assess alongside class teacher.
• To be responsible for workforce reform tasks.
• To use ICT effectively.
• To assist with general organisation and preparation of resources and the learning environment.
• To undertake rota duties

Information about the school

Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School is a highly successful school. It benefits from modern buildings and is very well resourced with an outstanding staff. The school has up to 180 children in the main school and 52 children in the nursery.

Barton Junior school is a two-form entry Junior school (ages 7-11) in the heart of Dover. We provide our children with an excellent continuation of their education from infant school. Our aim is for every child to reach their full potential through creating a stimulating and caring environment that provides challenges and enjoyment, where children’s natural curiosity and wonder about the world around them is encouraged, where children will thrive.
