This is a job share position (0.5 per week) in reception with an opportunity to be joint Early Years Leader.

This is an opportunity for a teacher with “drive and energy” to join an established team and bring new ideas and enthusiasm. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, innovative, creative and self- motivated.

You should be willing to use your skills and talents to help foster knowledge, inclusion and thoughtfulness, independence and strong self-belief in the children; as well as sympathetic to the Catholic ethos of the school.

You will be part of a team determined to offer the best possible education for the children for whom we are responsible and who are not afraid to take a pioneering approach to achieve our aims.

You should have the determination to ensure all the children in early years can develop the ability to question and think for themselves and aspire to be the best they can be.

  • have a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS/Primary Curriculum;
  • be an exceptional role model; passionate in developing high standards and expectations for all pupils;

St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school set in the heart of the Georgian town of Ramsgate, Kent, just a short walk from the beaches overlooking the English Channel. The school had its last Ofsted Inspection in June 2019 and is rated Good. It had a denominational inspection in May 2023 and is rated Outstanding. Our staff and governors are hard-working, caring, supportive and friendly and the children are very well behaved. With our church being on the school site we are building strong links with our local community. Our school motto is ‘High Expectations for all, in the Light of Christ’. Children are encouraged to fulfil their potential through a curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils, develops independence and enquiry-based learning skills and offers appropriate challenges so that they achieve the highest possible standards in all areas of their lives.
