We have a part time position in Key Stage 2 teaching Maths and English to Y4 3 - 4 mornings a week.

Are you looking for a supportive, nurturing and caring work environment? Do you want to deliver first class teaching? Hever is a small, well-structured, friendly school set in a beautiful village, steeped in history and has a hugely supportive PTA. Our school is caring and has a strong community ethos where everyone supports each other.

High expectations and pastoral care, together with a strong Christian ethos, ensures that every child flourishes and is challenged to their full potential. Our children are caring and considerate.

We feel this is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team on the next part of the school’s journey. We want someone who has a growth mind-set and a drive/passion for education, where enjoyment and quality first teaching are at the heart of all lessons. We want a new member of staff with strong subject knowledge to help enhance and bring our curriculum to life with imaginative ideas.

We are looking for:

  • A teacher committed to securing excellent progress for each child that they teach.
  • Someone who can promote positive behaviour for learning that encourages children to be self-reflective and encourages them to challenge themselves.
  • Someone with the ability to be creative; inspiring children and adults alike.
  • Someone who has high expectations of themselves and others.
  • An innovative KS2 practitioner who is inspired by teaching a mastery curriculum in an inclusive way and is grounded in the belief that all pupils can achieve.
  • An excellent team player.
  • Someone who has passion, professional curiosity and a desire to develop.

 We can offer you:

  • Very well behaved and friendly children.
  • An environment where learning is creative and exciting.
  • The scope to develop your creativity and work as part of a hard-working team.
  • A caring ethos within a very friendly and supportive environment.
  • Opportunities for Professional Development.
  • Ongoing and supportive Performance Management.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the school. Please contact the school office office@hever.kent.sch.uk . We are committed to safeguarding and looking after the welfare of our children therefore the successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS check.

If we are able to interview before the close date we will contact you once an application has been submitted. We reserve the right to appoint prior to the close date should we find a suitable applicant.

Information about the school

Hever Primary is a one-form entry, over-subscribed Voluntary Aided church school situated in a beautiful village on the borders of Kent, Surrey and Sussex and two miles from the market town of Edenbridge. The school covers a broad catchment area of both rural and town environments.

We are a nurturing school with high expectations, where wellbeing and high standards of academic achievement go hand in hand. We pride ourselves on knowing our children and ensuring they reach their potential. Our children benefit from beautiful grounds in a lovely setting, with a large sports field and forest school. The school is well-supported by parents and Governors, and our children are motivated and keen to learn.

Over the last two years, we have undergone a transformation from RI to securely good, through collaboration and consistency, underpinned by a shared vision. Our Ofsted and SIAMS reports (both autumn 2024) reflect the impact of relationships between adults and pupils that are ‘full of warmth and mutual respect’ and adults who are ‘consistent role models in kindness and working together as a team’.
