We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join our warm and welcoming school team. The successful candidate will provide administration, reception and general support in our busy school office. The post involves a range of tasks including dealing with visitors and parents, providing support to staff, attending to queries and a range of general administration duties.  

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong interpersonal skills
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be organised, adaptable and able to use own initiative
  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office/365
  • Be a strong team member who can work co-operatively to improve outcomes for children.
  • Be an individual who is keen to learn and able to take direction
  • Be familiar with Bromcom, although this is not essential
  • Be kind, caring and committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and families and the school’s Christian ethos.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS and be subject to qualification, reference and health checks.

 

Information about the school

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)
