Wentworth Primary School require a Welfare and SEN Assistant who will be responsible for first aid and providing effective and professional support to the SENCO.

This is a new role.  The successful candidate will be someone who ideally holds a first aid at work qualification and experience within an administration role.   Alternatively, first aid training will be provided for the right candidate.   The role requires someone who pays meticulous attention to detail, has a calm manner and the ability to prioritise.  They will be able to deal with all aspects of first aid and SEN administration.  The role will be based in the school’s first aid room.

This is a permanent position for 27.5 hours per week, 9.00am - 3.00pm with half an hour for lunch,  Monday to Friday, term time only. We are hoping to recruit a suitable person  who will have an understanding and caring attitude and is committed to the school’s learning and development goals.  They will have excellent literacy, numeracy  and IT skills together with effective oral and written communication skills.  We expect all staff to be able to make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life.

Wentworth Primary School (Acad) is situated near Dartford Heath and is close to the border with the London Borough of Bexley. The School serves its local community in Dartford and Crayford. It is very popular and is regularly oversubscribed, our current pupil role is over 650 pupils. The School is very well resourced in all areas and benefits from ample grounds including our own playing fields. The atmosphere is happy and supportive with an effective team spirit.
