Band 6 Occupational Therapist-Part time

1 day per week (Term-Time only, 39 weeks)

Start date: January 2023

West Heath School is an Independent SEN residential school with charity status.  We provide a therapeutically informed learning environment for children aged 10-19 who have suffered some form of trauma and are unable to access mainstream education.   As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health specialist setting, we believe in ‘rebuilding lives through education’, developing life skills and encouraging students to enjoy social activities.

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our well-established Therapy team. The successful candidate will be required to provide assessment, planning and intervention in a flexible manner. This active department receives excellent support from school staff and senior management and provides opportunities for working with students of whom the majority have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

This is your opportunity to make a real difference and be part of a multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Counsellors and Educational Psychologist.
