KS1 Class Teacher – Maternity Cover

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious teacher to join our passionate and committed team to cover maternity leave.  We are a highly successful school and underpinning our pupils’ very high achievements is our very rich, broad and balanced curriculum and children learn well in all subjects.

  • A reflective practitioner who actively promotes inspirational teaching and learning practices; with excellent knowledge of KS1 pedagogy
  • Applications are welcome from experienced teachers as well as those new to the profession
  • A practitioner who will use action research based enquiry as a tool to improve practice at Blean School and with our partners
  • Innovation, motivation and creativity in subject leadership and the passion to share and drive improvements
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school and the personal development of our children
  • An excellent team player with the ability to enthuse, motivate and lead
  • Someone who has great communication skills with parents, governors and staff

We are a popular, creative and imaginative school set on the outskirts of Canterbury on a spacious site. Ofsted judged us as ‘Outstanding’ in our recent Inspection (March 2022); with leadership described as exceptional.
