Primary location:Trust Offices based at Astor Secondary School.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organisation individual to support our HR Manager and Finance team in this new role.  It is a fantastic opportunity to join as the Trust is expanding and we forsee that in the future there will be the opportunity to specialise in one of the two areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist and support the HR manager with the administration of personnel records and data and offer an effective administration support service.
  • Assist in the administration of a range of financial procedures, as directed by the finance Officer or Director of Finance.
  • Ensure that the use of school resources is adequately monitored and controlled.
    Undertake the efficient and accurate preparation and input of information and data into the Personnel and finance systems.
  • Co-ordinate recruitment procedures, including publishing job adverts, collating job applications, liaising with applicants, and requesting references.
  • Assist in the process of onboarding staff to the Trust, including preparation of paperwork, systems input/checks and liaising with the new starter, payroll, HR Manager and Headteachers where necessary.
  • Provide finance/HR help and advice to staff, pupils, parents and external parties as required.


Salary/grade: Salary: Kent Range 5 (£20,595)

Pension: Local Government Pension scheme

Working time: 37 hours per week. All year round.

Holidays: 26 days, plus Bank Holidays, plus Christmas Concessionary day (35 in total)
