Dunton Green Primary School is looking to appoint a HLTA to start work in the school to work with teachers to organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes.

The primary focus is to undertake specified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Assess record and report on development, progress and attainment

Use teaching and learning objectives to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate within agreed systems of supervision.

Assess the needs of pupils and use knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils' learning.

Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.

We ask candidates to clarly identify in their applications their interest/specialism/experience against these aspects.

The position will be 5 days a week Monday -Friday 8:30am-3:20pm 32.5 hour p/w, term time only.

A part-time position may also be considered.

Salary is KR5 £20,595 (full time equivalent)

We are a friendly, one form entry school. Our HLTA will work to ensure the very best outcomes for all of our children. We can offer commitment to individual professional development as well as being a hardworking and committed team of teachers, support staff and leadership.

Full enhanced DBS check and references will be required and the successful applicant will need a health check and also child protection and prevent training. Although the post is term time only, there is a requirement to attend a one day inset every September for statutory safeguarding training.

The school is situated in the village of Dunton Green and provides a wide range of extra curricular clubs and is at the heart of the community. We are a one form entry school. The school has 7 registration groups.
