Luddenham School is looking for an amazing teaching assistant to work in our highly equipped, friendly school. 

We are looking for an exciting Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about learning and can share our philosophy where 'Every Child Can Achieve'. Our EYFS is engaging and aims to promote curiosity both inside and outside the classroom.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teaching assistant who engages all learners and will join our dynamic team who are striving to provide a rich, extended curriculum with particular experience of the EYFS curriculum with knowledge of Speech and Language, ASD awareness and excellent phonics practices.

In your role as a teaching assistant you will have the responsibility for nurturing our pupils as well as facilitating learning interventions and focus groups so children can reach their full potential. You will support the class teacher in setting up, supporting in all areas of the curriculum. 

If you have particular skills and experience in wider aspects such as sports, Forestry, outdoor learning, drama or art, we would love to hear from you. You will be class based throughout the day and will support pupils for part of lunchtime.

Other key skills required are: 

  • Assist with teaching and learning of pupils in class
  • Working as a team member within the staff group to assist with play, wellbeing and mental health, communication with parents and support of children education.
  • Provide feedback to pupils at all stages of their learning
  • Communicate with parents when required
  • Lead adapted learning set by the class teacher
  • Set up resources for pupils to impact learning development
  • Administer first aid and medication when required.
  • Have good IT skills
  • Experience of speech and language support
  • Be prepared to get involved with the children throughout the whole day.
  • Opportunity to do after school club
