Due to an unexpected change in circumstances, we are looking for an outstanding Year 6 Class Teacher to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team. 

From January 2022 we need a Class Teacher to take over one of our Year 6 classes and to continue the excellent work of the current post holder. A successful candidate would, above all, be an exceptional teacher committed to developing the children's learning potential. This post would suit an ambitious teacher eager to gain experience in a large primary school and will provide a wide range of teaching opportunities. 

Teaching in Year 6 brings its own unique challenges but you will be joining a very strong, experienced and dedicated team. All teachers in our school receive the highest level of support and training. Experience and knowledge of teaching children in their Key Stage 2 SATs year would be an advantage but we would also stress that Year 6 is about learning, great experiences and enjoyment - not just the tests!

You would also be expected to have - a good sense of humour - flexibility - a desire to make learning enjoyable - strong self-motivation and organisational skills - energy and enthusiasm - strong and effective behavioural management skills - a share in the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Information about the school

Castle Hill is a lively two form entry Community Primary School with a Specialist Resource Provision for Hearing Impaired children. We also have responsibility for running a large and thriving Nursery which shares its premises with the Children Centre on our grounds. The school is situated in an urban area of East Folkestone, on a deceptively large site.

Our children are friendly and lively and deserve the very best we can give them. We are extremely proud of the school and would be delighted to show you around.
