Frittenden CEP School is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible child support assistant to join our professional, dedicated and friendly team within our village school setting. You will be working alongside the class teacher, assistanting one of our delightful pupils. Whilst experience is preferential, it not a prerequisite: you just have to have a can-do attitude. The successful applicant will hopefully have an understanding of children with social communication difficulties.

  • We are particularly looking for someone who:
  • Will support and scaffold children's learning in and out of the classroom
  • Has the ability to make good relationships with children, colleagues and parents
  • Is confident to work independently using their own initiative
  • Enjoys working as part of a team

The post is for a temporary contract, which lasts for the duration of the child being in the school and funding being in place. It is for 25 hours a week and is term time only.  An immediate start would be preferential; however this can be negotiated for the right candidate.

Frittenden is committed to continued professional development and full training will be provided as part of our performance management process. Visit to the school are encouraged. For further details please call the school secretary Mrs Donna Kneller on 01580 852250.

Information about the school

Frittenden Church of England Primary School is a popular small school in the heart of the village. Whilst we benefit from an idyllic location in the heart of the countryside, we are easily accessible from Maidstone, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding villages. We currently have 100 children on roll divided into 4 classes, with an intake of 15 into the Reception class and mixed classes thereafter.

As a church school we enjoy a close relationship with St Mary's Church. We promote our Christian values of Compassion, Joy and Respect throughout our school.

In March 2018 we were judged to be a ‘good’ church school and in June 2017, a ‘good’ school by Ofsted. We continually strive for improvement.

Frittenden CEP School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all appointments are subject to the necessary pre-recruitment checks.
