This is a part-time administration position within a one-form entry village school.  We are looking for an office administrator to support the daily running of the school, work alongside the Office Manager and support the office team.

Whilst in the office you will be responsible for answering telephone calls and interacting with parents at the beginning of the day.  You will answer general enquiries and be in regular contact with the children and on occasion might be called to assist on the playground or lunch hall.

You will also be responsible for certain aspects of the school:

  • Ensuring orders of milk and fruit is up to date
  • Correspondence to parents via email or text
  • Filing away documents
  • Updating the office diary
  • Organising parent visits such as prospective parent meetings
  • Fortnightly news sheet for parents
  • Health and Safety admin

This is not an exhaustive list as the role is a varied one, and you will be asked to do many different tasks.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Professional and personable
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Computer literate with a range of programs including Word, Excel adn SIMS
  • A positive 'can do attitude'
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised, accurate, methodical with attention to detail
  • Discretion and confidentiality is essential
  • Willing to learn
  • Previous office experience is essential.

The successful applicant will be joining a happy, committed team who have fun whilst working hard.

Hours:

21 hours a week:

Tuesday - 8.30 - 1.30

Wednesday - 8.30 - 2pm

Thursday - 8.30 - 2pm

Friday - 8.30 - 1.30

Information about the school

Crockenhill Primary School is a community primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 years, occupying an attractive site, at the heart of the village of Crockenhill. We are a one form entry school, with capacity for up to 210 pupils. The school is close to the town of Swanley and boasts excellent road and rail links to London and Kent. Our buildings run seamlessly from Victorian to new build and the classrooms are bright and welcoming. We have a dedicated art room, computer suite and library and several breakout spaces for small group work. The school also has a small wildlife garden and large playing field with an area dedicated to our forest school. The school is very proud of its sporting achievements and actively engages in many tournaments.
