The team at Dame Janet is looking to appoint an Inclusion Leader who shares our belief that every child can achieve. We have an exciting opportunity for you as an Inclusion Leader and member of SLT. We are incredibly proud of our school. Our children deserve the best so the successful candidate will:

  • Have 5 years or more experience as a qualified teacher with proven success in the classroom
  • Ideally have the National Award for SEN Coordination or be working towards this. Applicants without the SENCO qualification will be considered - training can be completed once in post but previous experience working with pupils with a range of different abilities and needs is essential. 
  • Have thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and other relevant legislation
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and develop staff in working with SEN children
  • Have the ability to monitor data and compile reports on the performance of specific pupils or groups of pupils and share this coherently
  • The ability to support and quality assure the work of teaching assistants
  • Have good time management and organisational skills
  • Be able to evidence successful experience of leading/managing other staff
  • Be able to liaise effectively with parents and external agencies
  • Have a secure understanding of how to implement effective inclusion resources, strategies and provisions to bring about improved outcomes

Inspired by the children of Ramsgate we are a school on two sites, with a thriving forest school and other outdoor learning opportunities.
