Kings Hill School Primary and Nursery is a vibrant and unique oversubscribed school situated in Kings Hill. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds and fantastic facilities including running track, Multi Use Games Area, Adventure Trim Trail, Whispering Woods, dedicated art classroom, cookery room as well as a newly equipped ICT suite and fantastic library.

We support staff to develop and all of our teaching assistants work closely with teachers and senior leaders. Staff are developed and trained to support school improvement priorities and develop their own individual talents and skills. All TAs are part of subject teams and have regular professional development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated and supportive team in a Key Stage Two class.

The successful applicant will be required to work 26 hours per week although this is flexible  (5 mornings and three afternoons) term time 38 weeks a year. Hours of work are 8.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m and 1:30-3:30pm.

Mornings only would also be considered as well as 30 hours. 


This post is at Kent Range 3 and will initially be a one year fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will be expected to:  

·       Be someone who enjoys working with children

·       Have relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant, NNEB) or relevant experience

·       Demonstrate knowledge of the relevant Key Stage curriculum 

·       Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative

·       Be committed to their own professional development

·       Be imaginative, creative, very energetic and interested in moving on children’s learning

·       Have good interpersonal skills and organisational skills

·       Have an interest in celebrating children's learning by classroom display

·       support the ethos and wider life of the school

Information about the school

We are a very popular and oversubscribed large primary school in the heart of the Kings Hill community with 450 pupils and 65 children on roll in our Nursery. We are very well resourced with a well qualified and dedicated team of teaching and support staff.

Our building is modern and is a unique linear design with extensive and beautiful grounds. We have a large extended school hall which can be divided into two by acoustic doors, the smaller of which providing an area for sports activities. Our grounds incorporate a pond dipping area, poly tunnel, woodland walk and more recently we have had a Multi Use Games Area built and an all weather running track.
